Was “The Garden Bristo” a treat or what?!  My pastor Chuck Swindoll says there are no accidents with God. I believe it. I wasn’t really hungry but I was drawn to the Garden Bristo, Friday evening June 25, 2010.

I was found myself at a beautiful and relaxed bristo and treated with great fellowship with a wonderful cast. The managers, waitresses and musical performer provided me with a concert of fine food, service and great Christian music.

And to add to my pleasure they gave me opportunity to photograph to my hearts content for this wonderful Friday eve and Saturday morning. My waitress was Beiva Zinke who not only was not only a great waitress but an accomplished artist. See her mural at the restaurant and in my pics that are attached. Ask her were to see her painted rocks.

The Owner, Robert Herrera, took a lot of time to show me around and show me how they prepare all natural and most tasty meals.

Jeremiah’s call provided great guitar and vocals. All in all,  a very welcome treat to a weary traveler!

Just think that in only three weeks the Dallas Arboretum will open for Dallas Blooms. Check our their website at http://dallasarboretum.org. Get your camera ready for great shots.

Crops of Bluebonnets will soon spring up around Texas.  Check back for the latest information on the beautiful Texas Bluebonnet and other favorite Texas Wildflowers.

If you are traveling toward White Sands or Ruidosa from the North be sure and stop in at the wonderful Three Rivers Gallery. Sue Tassinari is the manager and a very engaging and helpful woman. The artwork on display is amazing. Photography, Painting, Sculpture abound. Coffee too!

Carvings, Painting and more goodies than you will ever imagine. Stop to see Esther in this beautiful area of New Mexico. You will be glad you did.

Interesting Note from fellow photographer re: Aspens which make up most if the vegetation of Kebler Pass in Colorado. I came through the pass the day before yesterday. The scenery was not perfect thanks  to the weather but beautiful nonetheless. Aspens grow from roots of other Aspens reather that as saplings. This area of Aspens is one of the largest living organisms on the earth.

This has ben a great trip with some favorite spots in the Grand Teton’s, Northern Colorado around Empire and North, Buena Vista, Salida, Monarch Pass and now Durango. Camped in the mountains. Catch some fall color tomorrow then Durango/Silverton Train ride on Tue.

Strarted in Ouray. Lost of snow over pass. Eating Ahi Tuna sandwich at Carver Brewery. Have wireless, getting email done. Camping out in mountains. Carvers website is http://www.carverbrewing.com. Good meal!

Last week was a great time for my 50th HS reunion in Flanagan, IL. This was the only reunion that I made and it was an amazing experience. Our dinner was held at Bernardi’s Restaurant in close by Pontiac IL.

I’ve included some pics of the class and of the Pontiac Walldog paintings on walls of buildings as well as a few shots of Bloomington that we might remember.

We are planning a whirlwind trip to Wyoming, Idaho, Montana and North Dakota for a picture taking experience. Obviously we will drive through the Grand Tetons but are looking for unusual places to take pictures. Maybe some artsy places would be good. Galleries, good restaurants, old buildings, windows etc. We are open to all ideas. Please help us in fashioning this trip.
