A San Antonio Texas New Years!
On New Years Eve day 2010 we spent the day taking pictures off of Missions Road of the beautiful Historic Missions near San Antonio. Particularly early in the morning the sky was right for picture taking. While the light was not to our liking later in the day we continued to enjoy the time taking pictures and exploring the grounds.

On New Years Eve we found the Long Horn Steak House and enjoyed a sizzling fillet topped with a cream crab topping and veggies. The tender fillet was one of the best I’ve ever savored.
Ringing in 2011 we experienced breakfast at Mi Tierra in the old Farmer Market area of San Antonio. Oh my, their Huevos Ranchero were out of this world. Mi Tierra went to great lengths to decorate lavishly for the Holiday Season and we were the benifactors. The ambiance was beautiful and most colorful. Every minute was fun and the service was super as well as entertaining. The aroma of Mi Tierra’s pastry department pulled us near. We chose several tasty samples to take to our friends home in Canyon Lake. Needless to say we all enjoyed the pastries and devoured the delicacies in no time!

Sunday morning we had brunch at Huisache Grill & Wine Bar in New Braunfels. If you haven’t been to Huisache you must go ASAP. It’s one of our favorite treats! Huisache will fill your tummy with glorious food while your eyes will take in the wonderful ambiance of art and color. I’d call the cuisine SouthWestern America. You gotta go there!
All good times involve fellowship and Norma (A Family Friend, kinda Relative and super Artist) provided us with the best company and served as a most gracious hostess!
If you haven’t been to the San Antonio area lately, do NOT let the grass grow under your feet.
